ILIFFE YARD

ABOUT

My Iliffe Yard studio is a peaceful place where I can make a mess. I work in the field of drawing and use both paper as well as video. This is the place for my graphite works. In my studio you can find things that inspire me: there are crocheted lace items as well as reindeer skulls. My smaller drawings are often made with a continuous, unbroken line. Big drawings are made against the wall. 10.000 circles (150x150cm) has that exact number of circles in it. I know because I count the marks as I draw. I am interested in the process, the act of making, restrictions and rules while I explore my current concerns. At the moment I am trying to make sense of a collection of lace items discovered in the belongings of a distant relative.

WHAT TO BUY

Happiness in a form of a drawing perhaps.
